Delightful fable of a gentle tippler and the six-foot invisible "rabbit" he has adopted for a friend. Stewart is excellent as the whimsical Elwood P. Dowd, while Hull is a joy as his straight-laced sister who is continually embarassed by his actions.

Hull won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress and Stewart was nominated for Best Actor.
