Still-exciting "silent" version of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's story, which features the eccentric paleontologist Professor Challenger, well played by Beery. The plot concerns a scientific expedition to South America, where living prehistoric creatures are discovered. Naturally, the explorers decide to take a brontosaurus back to London with them, where it causes much mayhem. Terrific special effects by Willis O'Brien, who later created KING KONG.
