THE STRONG MAN (1926) B/W "silent" 78m dir: Frank Capra
w/Harry Langdon, Priscilla Bonner, Gertrude Astor, Brooks Benedict, Arthur Thalasso, Robert McKim, William V. Mong
A Belgian soldier (Langdon), a vet of WWI, searches in America for the girl he was pen pals with. This is the baby-faced Langdon's best film: the scene on the stagecoach where he's fighting off a cold is a truly hilarious pantomime. But this is also a noteworthy film because it is the feature film debut of a young director named Frank Capra.
